Navigation solutions based on satellite location: apps and cross platform services since 2007.
OFF BOARD NAVIGATION
Since 2007 UbiEst has had a presence in the market of off-board navigation (OBN) solutions with its own technologies for:
- Planning and optimizing journeys
- Integrated navigation
- Integrating external databases
- Navigation development on different mobile platforms for clients
- Integrating provisioning and external billing systems
UbiEst’s off-board navigation services are available as white-label apps to personalize services – by device manufacturers TelCo – and more generally to meet the infomobility demands of businesses and consumers.
Navigation services have also been made available in SDK for intermediary API developers to integrate the following functions in third party applications:
- Destination dispatch
- Receiving locations
- Location Based Mapping Services
- Navigation to POI
Presented for the first time at the 2007 MWC in Barcelona, UbiNav was one of the first off-board navigation services for mobile devices using Symbian and Java. Subsequently, it was extended to all mobile technology platforms.
The UbiNav application transforms a smartphone into a complete and trustworthy GPS navigation solution, with vocal and visual instructions for each move; automatically connecting to the web means that maps and content are updated in real time.
UbiNav can easily be recalled from the most commonly used programs, such as the address book, calendar, SMS, email, web pages; wherever there is an address you can start navigating with just a few clicks.
In 2010 UbiNav for BlackBerry® won first prize at the BlackBerry Partners Fund Super Apps Developer Challenge 2010, proving itself to be the best application for the EMEA area, earning the title of “Regional Winner”.
