UbiEst technologies enable location based services on Fiat Group Automobiles Blue&Me Nav

UbiEst, together with Targa Infomobility, provides localization, off board navigation and reverse geocoding services for the next generation Blue&Me platform, launched with the new Fiat Bravo as a world premiere at the 2007 Geneva motor show.

Over the course of 2007, Blue&Me Nav will support additional telematics services developed in partnership with Telecom Italia and Targa Infomobility that will be launched in Italy and then rolled out to other major European markets.
These services will be based on UbiEst mapping and tracking technologies and will range from SOS, info service and insurance tracking services. Further enhancements are already under development ranging from business/fleet customer services, pro-active car maintenance, navigation without pre-loaded maps and many more.

Following the launch of the Fiat Bravo, this solution will also be extended to other new Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Lancia and Light Commercial Vehicles. Blue&Me and Blue&Me Nav will be also adopted by the Fiat Group’s companies Iveco and CNH and will be installed in their models under the coordination of Centro Ricerche Fiat.

Blue&Me Nav is based upon the highly successful Blue&Me platform which has since been requested by 20% of all Fiat, Alfa Romeo and Lancia model buyers. The platform has also garnered several prestigious accolades like 'Frost & Sullivan', the 'Excellence in Technology of the Year Award for European Automotive Telematics and Infotainment market' (January 19, 2006); 'Telematic Update of Detroit' awarded it the prize for the best telematic solution of the year (May 23, 2006); 'Automotive News Europe' awarded the 'Eurostars 2006' prize to Giuseppe Bonollo, Vice President Product Portfolio Management at Fiat Group Automobiles and Martin Thall, General Manager Microsoft Automotive Business Unit at Microsoft, for the
success of the system installed in Fiat Group Automobiles cars (August 22, 2006).
