NAVTEQ Global LBS Challenge Europe: UbiEst hits the final (again)!

For the second year, UbiEst qualifies for the final judging at NAVTEQ Global LBS Challenge Europe, the EMEA edition of Navteq contest, now in its fifth year.

UbiEst competes for the Social Networking category introducing a new LBS application for the consumer market: UbiSafe, a mobile client application for family peace-of-mind.


The NAVTEQ Global LBS Challenge continues to be the symbol of innovation in the mobile LBS space by shining a spotlight on its most talented developers and entrepreneurs. The 2008 NAVTEQ Global LBS Challenge is BIGGER than ever, with a global prize pool consisting of cash, map data licenses, sponsor licenses and services, that is valued at almost $3 million (US)!

Every year, the NAVTEQ Global LBS Challenge® puts together an esteemed panel of judges made up executives from leading wireless carriers, handset manufacturers, tool and platform providers, and venture capitalists.

Representatives on the panel come from all segments of the LBS value chain and include a group that is dedicated to moving the LBS industry forward.

The 2008 NAVTEQ Global LBS Challenge Award Ceremony will take place at 3GSM (World Mobile Congress) Barcelona 12 February.
