UbiNav hits download success at Blackberry.com
Thanks to an agreement with RIM, the latest release of UbiNav is now available for free download from Blackberry App Store.
UbiNav is the application for mobile navigation & mapping that transforms BlackBerry smartphones into complete GPS navigators with maps and voice prompts.
UbiNav provides navigation paths for any destination in Europe, displayed on the map in 2D or 3D, and equipped with voice instructions, estimated arrival time, distance and a database of over ten million POIs .
The maps are always up-to-date, thanks to server based technology and the interface graphics is surprising in terms of attraction and ease of use. In fact, what makes UbiNav unique, in addition to a complete set of navigation features, is a "design appealed", interface developed by a team of Italian creators and fashion designers. A total-black background with a dynamic menu rotation creates a clean look & feel with a very modern and minimal effect. The info and command bars flow nicely with a transparency effect, without covering the main screen navigation.
"We wanted to move away from purely technical look & feel and make the user experience appreciable to users. We believe that applications must also be a feast for the eyes, but many companies overlook this aspect. " Says Nicola De Mattia, CEO of UbiEst SpA
Already successfully launched in January with several European telecom operators such as Turkcell, the leading countries of the Mediterranean, the new release of UbiNav is now available for free download at Blackberry App World.
